can you use poor 15 on metal after being cleaned with vinega
Hi, I don’t have the exact answer as I have never tried it. I can tell you the metal has to be totally dry, and no grease or dust or lose rust anywhere. The recommend using Marine clean to De grease and remove anything oil based. Then you use prep and ready, this is the metal treatment to stabilise the rust. Then the PRO 15 paint is last in two coats. If you use the vinegar instead of the prep and ready I don’t know how it would react to the acid. There are various tin sizes of PRO 15, so I would say get the starter kit first which has it all in and try on an old piece of metal.
