Magnetic Cowl Covers ’64 – ’66 all models

For Sale: 1964 1/2 to 1966 (ALL Models) – Magnetic cowl vent cover.

Simply place the magnetic cover over the vents on the cowl aligning with the wiper cut out. Within seconds it will prevent water, leaves or debris getting into the cowl space where you can’t get to it. These covers are made from “motorway” standard 0.85mm thickness materials designed to conform to the vent’s profile for better protection. When the rain stops, simply lift off the cover, wipe it down ready for next time. That’s it!

Carbon Design:

This design is a 4D Carbon Fibre automotive wrap on the upper side. The upper vinyl does not effect any of the adhesive properties of the magnet backing. The carbon design gives a modern neutral design to the classic car, the contrast just works.

The reverse of the covers are a black bendable magnetic material.

The Cover itself is £20.00 + £5.50 for P&P (UK rate) as it has to go small parcel due to size and weight.

Total of £25.50 inc P&P

NOTE: P&P is for UK Mainland Only.

Looking After Your Magnetic Cowl Cover

To help the cowl cover lay flat after unpacking, you can gently and evenly warm the cover with a hair dryer to make it more supple and then attach it to a flat metallic surface to cool and reform.

Storage of the cover should be on a flat surface such as inside the trunk on the rear quarter for easy access if being kept with a car. If the cowl cover is being stored away from the car it should remain attached to a flat metallic surface like a tool chest or refrigerator etc. until needed. This will keep the cover flat and keep the magnetic layer activate.

Wipe over the cover’s back magnetic material to remove any dust and debris before attaching to the car’s paintwork.

Do Not drag the cover into position on the paintwork, lift the cover and reposition.

You can apply a quick detailer or a light spray wax on the upper surface to help the water bead and run off even quicker if required.

Wipe off any excess water from the cowl cover before storage.

Note: Although the car could be driven at low town speeds with the magnetic cowl cover is in place, it’s not something I would recommend. Please ensure your safety and that of other road users at all times if the car is mobile with the cover in place.

    1. One man and his Mustang – UK – I'm just a man with a Classic 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe and an ever increasing collection of car detailing products to keep it clean. I bought the car as a non rolling project in 2011 which had been neglected, set fire to, rusted and abused. As a result of all that the car needed a bare metal strip down, a nut and bolt restoration. Four and a half years later the car was completed, on the road and shown at the UK's premier Classic Car Show, everything that was done to my car is documented here. I now have the privilege to drive one of America's most recognised cars and a true Icon, the Ford Mustang.
