Front & Rear Brake Diagrams

Advertisements

Various Brake diagrams I used for reference.

I have been asked if there were any diagrams that I used, so here are a few of the more useful ones.

Please make sure you get the right details for your car as I can’t/won’t be held responsible for any errors on a critical part of the car.

  1. camerapacker – Greenville, SC – I have been photographing since 1957. I am a retired pathologist, dedicated photographer, avid audiophile and occasional fisherman. I may comment on all of the above in my blog. My blogs will have photo graphic subjects I am currently experimenting with. I continue to teach photography at Furman University in the OLLI program. My classes include Photoshop skills and photo criticism.

Love your diagrams though I am not a mechanic.

    1. One man and his Mustang – UK – I'm just a man with a Classic 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe and an ever increasing collection of car detailing products to keep it clean. I bought the car as a non rolling project in 2011 which had been neglected, set fire to, rusted and abused. As a result of all that the car needed a bare metal strip down, a nut and bolt restoration. Four and a half years later the car was completed, on the road and shown at the UK's premier Classic Car Show, everything that was done to my car is documented here. I now have the privilege to drive one of America's most recognised cars and a true Icon, the Ford Mustang.

I’ll definitely be using your site. I have been restoring a 65 convertible, total restoration. I started in 2014, just received back from the paint shop a few weeks ago and find myself at a lost point once or twice a week. I have to rely on U Tube or whatever to jog my memory.
I was installing the emergency brake cables and handle assembly today. I couldn’t get the lock on the handle to lock. I looked like there should be a spring that would push the small “H” like lock down in place. I found one in a bag marked steering parts. Turned out after finding and checking your site that showed a complete breakdown. That it was indeed the one I needed.

        Thanks
        Mike (getting there!)

These were not taken from a particular book. Although they are available with similar diagrams.
