What You Get:
The unit itself has a built-in battery which is rated to last 10.5hrs during use and a 230hrs (15 days) in standby by. The unit will flash red and bleep when the battery is low.The unit is charged via the USB cable supplied and has a tiny jack point into the side of the unit. Plugging in the power will show a red LED light when charging and will go out once charged. I tried the charging in a PC port and a car 12v cigarette lighter charger and works fine. The device will work while charging as well, an obvious plus point.

As my unit will be used in the car there is no need for me to use the left/right phono leads.
So I was only interested in the 3.5mm jack connection for my car to be honest.
The units standard 3.5mm jack has a male – male adaptor. My in-car stock radio has been modified with an output cable for 3.5mm jack plug for external media unit connection. This does mean that I have a physical cable connection in the car with my phone which wasn’t ideal for me as I wanted a neater or hidden option.
Simple plug into the adaptor and leave it. Just turn it on when needed and close the glove box up again. Yes it worked fine inside the metal fronted glove box.
Set Up:
Turn the unit on by holding the single (multi function) button for two seconds and the blue LED will flash. Hold the button again for 5 seconds and the LED will alternate between red/blue ready for pairing mode. Turn on your device to connection mode, once detected select from the menu. The unit is now paired, job done.
Use:
Turning on my music player on my Samsung S9+ and the music streamed straight away, no buffering. I put the unit in the glove box and the phone on the seat and the unit still played fine.
Next up was my more important feature; Sat Nav. I selected Google Maps and typed a destination. The turn by turn voice was loud and clear through the dash speaker.
Perfect for what I needed.
If there are any issues with connection, a double press of the unit button will force connection to the last paired device. Not that I have had to use that function.
Rating: 8 out 10
Ease of use – Very simple to set up and was working within a minute of so from unboxing.
I didn’t give the full marks as there are other units out there that have a longer (claimed) battery life and standby times. The unit was small and compact, but the build quality could have done with a more sturdy feel to it with the connection cable being very thin too.
Sound quality was very clear during transmissions. There was no buffering, flat spots or interference. The sales pitch also mentions ‘Utilizes Bluetooth with A2DP streaming for powerful, enhanced CD audio quality streaming’.
Great value for money, with multi connection options.
Conclusion:
I wanted a wireless connection to my classic Mustang Radio without hassle. This was an ideal solution for me, I didn’t want a fixed 3.5mm jack coming out of unit or need extra buttons to move on the next song.
Would I recommend it? Yes.
Would I buy it again? Yes.
