Gyeon Q2m Bathe

Like other items in our range of products, Q²M Bathe is superbly efficient thanks to highly concentrated formula. The thick gel is naturally water-soluble, emitting a very pleasant smell, reminiscent of Q²M Cure, as well as producing a long-lasting foam.

90% of paint defects occur as a consequence of improper washing. A two-bucket method, a soft glove or an efficient pressure washer can only partly guarantee success. One of its most crucial constituents remains its slipperiness as a shampoo, which boosts the smooth gliding of the glove over the surface of the paint. The better the slippery features, the more we are able to minimize the risk of developing new defects on the paint of our vehicle.

Q²M Bathe is a quality pH neutral car wash. It has good cleaning power to dissolve dirt easily, but is gentle enough not to affect coatings or sealants. And because it is pH neutral it also ensures that delicate finishes such as nickel/chrome plated or highly polished elements remain pristine.

400ml of a slightly blue tinged liquid with a top quality pump dispenser.

The big selling point for this end of the market is the pH neutral product which is highly concentrated with 15 – 20ml per standard bucket. It should have good cleaning power to dissolve dirt easily, but be gentle and kind enough to not affect coatings or sealants. PH-neutral also ensures that delicate finishes such as nickel / chrome plated or highly polished elements remain pristine.

This product I didn’t buy, but it’s used regularly by a bestie mate of mine Craig who has been loving it for a while now. He came over as it was a nice day and told him my car was pretty dirty and we decided to do a comparison of his product against my current favourite shampoo.

It was a sunny day with intervals of cloud. The car(s) were out in the sun, but the really good pre-rinse and snow foam cooled the panels down. Not ideal to test in sun, but it was a good test regardless.

We squirted around the 20ml into the bucket and started the fill up with jet wash on low pressure.

The first thing to notice was the amount of suds. Virtually a third of the bucket was suds and filling the bucket up did see some of the glorious bubbles go to waste over the top of the bucket.

Putting your hand in the bucket and feel the product between your fingers was slippery, smooth and slick. There was a pleasant smell and not overly perfumed as some tend to be.

Grabbing a big hand full of suds and water the glove glided over the paintwork with no drag what so ever even on the dirty roof. The dirt was being removed and lifted without the need to apply pressure to the panel surface. This is where a lot of the washing and marring damage takes place. So the less pressure and contact being made with the car is a big bonus.

The suds clung to the bodywork and didn’t disappear within seconds like a few other brands tend to do. The rinse left some water on the surfaces and it’s clear to see the beading is there and not been affected by the shampoo.

Note: I have seen other reviews of this product saying there are no suds when applied to the car, I didn’t find that at all. In fact getting the jet wash into the bucket foamed up very well indeed enopugh to make it difficult to see where the actual water level was. As an experiment with this ‘lack of suds’ being mentioned in other reviews; I topped up the quarter full bucket with more jet wash water alone and there was more suds generated. Granted not a many as before, but the mixture was sufficient to give another bucket full which we washed Craig’s (black) car with no problem at all.

This was a simple rinse of the car with the jet wash on low. We had to work quickly in order to avoid the product drying in the sun. A large drying towel was laid over the paint and dragged to remove the moisture.

I was suitably impressed with the end result. The gloss was back and the paint did feel slick again.

I think that I have may have found my new go to car shampoo. I do have lots of shampoos in my arsenal of cleaning products which I will use up and then this will be the regular wash product, unless I find something else to equal it.

It would be interesting to see what the Gyeon Bathe+ (ceramic infused) product would be like.

I tried to fault it, I couldn’t. The cost per wash is comparable to other high end products out there. There was suds there for me, they were on the car and we didn’t go mad with the dilution ratios. Perhaps people need to add a little more to get the suds or use a more powerful stream of water to generate the suds.

Ease of use – 10 out 10

Finish – 10 out 10

The car was cleaned, it had no streaks and the paint felt good to the touch. At this sort of price range and high end manufacturers there is little to choose from the products. Some smell a little more, some suds a bit more, some a little more slick and this is pH neutral. A big tick in little review note book.

As long as the product cleans the car and does it well it’s a personal preference between brands. In fact it could be the paint on the car which may determine the results if you want to be that picky. I have mixed a couple of products together to make a really nice shampoo that I like. This product is pretty much that mixture that I have created.

I’m not a fan boy of any one brand as I have said many times before, if the product does the job well, I will use it regardless of who makes it. I believe that Gyeon has a new customer for this product.

Would I recommend it? Yes.

Would I buy it again? Yes (when I get round to buying it for myself)
