Bumper Stone Guard

I have been out all day, OK, I was out till it started to get dark.

I was working on the Bumper Stone Guard from the front of the car, This bit of work need to be in two very distinct parts; the inside rust protection and then the outside cosmetics. For Part 1 I had rubbed it down, treated it and put the first coat of POR15 on it. All seems to have gone well and I am please with the results today. The metal was in great condition when I got down to it under all the dirt and grime. I will apply the second coat tomorrow ready for me to do a bit of work on it next weekend on the outside. I have called it (yep you guessed it) Stone Bumper Guard (part 1) the photo’s and process for what I did is under photos, or click here.

I have added an RSS feed if you dont want to keep visisting the site, that way you never miss a post and can visit when you can. I have been asked to put quick links at the top in the “home” bar. consider it done!

Hope your having a good weekend and got everything in place ready for the holidays!

New book review & fender update

I have just added another book review for: Mustang Restoration Tips & Techniques. Go to the button for the review or click here. So have little look and rate it as well as all the other reviews. I have already had a little feedback and the dark look theme is getting the nod of approval.

Inspected my fender today in the light. Noticed a couple of little patches I missed. Added the missing second coat. While I was at it I decided to add a THIRD coat to the parts of the fender that has holes for the badge work. That should seal it up good and proper just in case.

Note to self:

Don’t paint when it’s getting dark or install lights to my sanctuary that be my shed!

Revised Site

Can you tell I have been sitting here trying to make the site look a little better? I have been asked if the site would look better in a darker theme. I looked into it and agreed. I have changed the header, the title a little and added rating stars. Let me know if it should stay or go back. The public is to decide this one. The other advantage of a darker theme is that on a mobile not having to show the lighter colours wont take up as much battery juice. Thinking of my followers all the time!

I have also added some more pictures to the “Day the Coupe arrived” set of photos. Go to the button or click here. The extra photos are of the trunk where stuff was just thrown in there. You can see the original wiring how it was found by me. Go to the button or click here.
